Hello Future Volunteers!

The page will carry all the necessary packets & information in order to volunteer to help in any field trips, fundraisers, transportation and more. I hope you can take the necessary steps to help our 'Pirate Marching Band' thrive. These student are our pride and joy of the program. For parents/guardians, volunteering adults, and all coaching staff must go through process in order to coaches, chaperones, band boosters, and drivers interacting with  at San Leandro High School.

What is a Level 2 Volunteer?

Level 2 Volunteers are volunteers who are expected to have more than minimal interaction with students. These volunteers have ongoing direct one-on-one or small group contact with students.

Level 2 volunteers can work with students in a district-sponsored student activity programs. Student activity programs include but are not limited to, overnight field trips, scholastic programs, interscholastic programs, and extracurricular activities sponsored by the district or a school booster club, such as cheer team, drill team, dance team, and marching band.

Live Scan (Fingerprints)

All volunteers, coaches, chaperones, and band booster personnel MUST go through the Live Scan process. Not completing this process will prevent you from helping on any future events. Also not getting cleared by the school, if prevent you from helping on any future events. You MUST ask Maria Esparza to send out a work order for you to get fingerprinted.

There will be a $47 FBI & DOJ Fee for all volunteers submitting their live scan. Once submitted, a copy will be sent to San Leandro High School. The school will be notified by the Live Scan.

TB Test (Tuberculosis Test)

In order to get a Tuberculosis Test, you MUST make an appointment at a local clinic or with your doctor. Test results for a TB Test will take up to 3 business days with any doctor or clinic.

Once the paperwork has been completed and have your copies ready, please take them to Maria Esparza located in the Principal's Office at San Leandro High's School Main Campus.

Maria Esparza is open Monday - Friday


Note: Paperwork will take up to 7 business days to process once turned in. Please make sure to turn in your paperwork on time before the day of the event or field trip.
