📣 Join Us for Our First Competition of the Season! 📣
San Leandro High School Marching Band is excited to be competing at our first Band Review for the Fall 2024 season at the Delta Band Review! 🎉🎺
📅 Date: Saturday, October 05, 2024
📍 Location: Antioch High School
⏰ Time: 7:00am-6:00pm
Students are to arrive at the San Leandro High School at 7:00am, the bus will leave at 7:45am which student should arrive before hand. This is a fantastic opportunity for our students, parents, and community to experience a day of incredible music, spirit, and camaraderie. We are excited to showcase the talent and dedication of our Marching Band in this competitive setting and celebrate the band at their tournament.
Come out and support our amazing students as they take the stage and make unforgettable memories! 🎶✨

San Leandro High School Jazz Combo is excited to be the featuring group at the Chabot College: Jazz Combo Night! 🎉🎺
📅 Date: Thursday, October 10, 2024
📍 Location: Chabot College - Stage One (Building 1200)
⏰ Time: 7:00pm-8:30pm
Students in Jazz Combo are to arrive at the Chabot College at 5:00pm. This is a fantastic opportunity for our students, parents, and community to experience a day of incredible music, spirit, and camaraderie. We are excited to showcase the talent and dedication of our Jazz Combo in this competitive setting and celebrate the combo at Chabot College: Jazz Combo I & II Concert.

Purpose
Purpose
The purpose of the musical performance is to serve others through presentations of art. The purpose of the music education is to serve the music student with abilities and character traits that extend far beyond the music classroom. Students who are involved in music score higher on state tests, and are consistently some of the most successful students in their school and after high school. Through teamwork, accountability, responsibility, dedication, and hard work, students will learn how to better serve their community, school, and world through music. Students will learn mastery of an instrument, how to read music notation at a high level, music theory, music history, music production, and learn various musical styles. Our hope in the San Leandro High School Band Program is that students will learn to appreciate music and music education for their lifetime regardless of their post high school decisions.
What we've done
What we've done
We have strived for greatness in the band program. The ensembles has participated in different event around and outside the Bay Area, California. Events they had participated are:
Wind Ensemble:
Chabot's Wind Ensemble Concert, Music in the Parks (Disneyland), Great America's Music in the Parks & Amador Valley Music Festival
Jazz Band:
Santa Cruz Jazz Festival, Northgate Jazz Festival, & Amador Valley Music Festival
Marching Band & Color Guard:
Foothill Band Review, San Francisco Fleet Week, San Leandro Night (Golden State Warriors), Napa Valley Band Review, San Leandro's Cherry Festival, City of San Leandro's 150th Anniversary, & Music in the Parks (Disneyland & Great America).

On behalf of the San Leandro High School Bands and Guard Program, we would like to extend our heartfelt thanks and appreciation to Ms. Maite Barloga, Principal of San Leandro High School, and the entire SLHS Administration Team. Your continued support and guidance are crucial to our success, and we are deeply grateful.
We extend our thanks to the School Board Trustees: Melissa Fegurgur, Jackie C. Perl, Evelyn Gonzalez, Leo Sheridan, Diana J. Prola, James Aguilar, and Peter Oshinski for your steadfast advocacy and support of the arts within our schools.
