Geronimo Rojas

Mr. Rojas has been with the SLHS Band family since the Fall 2019. Born and raised in the East Bay, for most of his life he's been heavily involved in music. Graduating from San Lorenzo High School in 2018. During his academia through San Lorenzo Unified, he studied under Amberle Mitchell, Leatrice Innocent, Shaylyn Ordaz, Harrison Cheng, Gerald Johnson, & former FAASL conductor: Steve Silva. Also received informal instruction from Erin Licht, Kristin Elliot, & Vernon Miyata.
Currently, he is studying Music Education at Chabot College and plans on tranferring to CSU, East Bay. Outside of school, Mr. Rojas other roles are the Head Band Coordinator of San Leandro High School & Vice-President of the East Bay Symphonic Band. Mr. Rojas is currently studying under Beverly Johnson (Flute Instructor) and Dr. Timothy “Tim” Harris (Director of Bands, Chabot College). Currently, Mr. Rojas is the conductor for the Portuguese Band of San Leandro (The Filarmonica Artista Amadora de San Leandro) and has been involved with the band for 9+ years. Other groups Mr. Rojas has participated in are Tri-City Band Corps & San Francisco’s Gay Lesbian Freedom Band.
